Yvan`s first time blood donation

For the first time of my life I decided to give some of my blood to the science. I dont know what to expect but I am a bit nervous as the nurse gets the niddle deep into my skin. It burns a bit but definitely more fear then hurt. I still rather close my eyes and imagining ``some cute rabbits running in giant green field``.

I am very curious about the entire operation. It`s a bit weird to see so much blood coming out of my body. Am I gonna survive this ? Maybe I should have stay home after all.Exactly 5 min and 20 seconds later I reach the 1.5 liters limit for blood donation. it is a new speed record according to the smiley nurse. The size of my arms and my excitement sure helped in setting it.

Cool ! it`s all over . That was quick! And you know what ? I have a new best feeling inside my heart right now . A mix of pride and giant happiness! And I like that!!! I will be back I promise Melinda, she was great as well as the entire crew of the Vancouver blood agency! See you soon guys and thanks for the importance of your work.
I now realize more then ever the importance of giving blood. I encourage you guys to do the same it`s a great and fun experience and you can really save lives.

A bientot les amis!
